Classroom Expectations:
You are expected to be aware of the contents of the
Student Handbook and to abide by the rules and regulation
listed in the Handbook.
In a classroom environment where many students are
involved in a learning situation, each student is responsible to the
other students in allowing them to learn.
Therefore, some basic codes of conduct must be practiced by each
and everyone of you. They are:
p
You
must be in the room when the bell rings.
p
If
you are not in your seat when the bell rings, you must stop what you are
doing and return to your seat.
p
When
the prayer is being read or being given by a fellow classmate, you need
to stand at attention quietly next to your desk.
p
While
the teacher is taking roll, reading announcements, lecturing or passing
out information, there should be no talking.
p
No
eating, chewing gum or drinking soft drinks in the classroom.
p
Students
are not allowed to leave their seats during class.
p
You
must bring all your material to class everyday.
p
No
walking out of the classroom for books, pencils etc.
p
Everyone
will respect each other’s property and the school’s property.
p
Students
are dismissed only when the teachers say so, not when the bell rings.
p
Students are expected to speak properly at all times. Swearing,
name-calling or derogatory comments will result in a detention.
p
Students are to stand promptly and quietly whenever an adult visitor
enter the classroom.
p
Remember that ONLY the instructor is authorized to access
classroom equipment, teacher's computer
and storage units.
p
Students are to tend to washroom duties prior to the start of class.
p
Students are allowed to enter the classroom only when the prior class
has cleared out and the instructor says it is ok to enter.
p
Students must follow the teacher's instructions.
The rules are established to protect the
students’ right to learn. Therefore,

take effect:
