As part of the course work in all my classes, the students use the Geometer's Sketchpad software to create designs.  Generally, we do this after covering related concepts.  Often, we use the program as a learning tool.  I have found that students seem to have a better understanding of concepts and remember the concepts longer since I have been incorporating the use of the software in my classes.

An added bonus is the wonderful designs that the students create.  Aside from posting these designs on bulletin boards, we have printed them on transparencies and created stained-glass like displays.  I have also printed miniatures of these and laminated them and made bulletin board borders.

Making these designs is just one of the features that I use.  The program is a great tool for demonstrating  concepts to the class and for having the students explore and discover a great deal of the concepts taught in geometry.
