Mr.
Shane Suehiro is a lively, energetic person who loves
working with children. Before taking on the role as Lower
School Counselor Shane has worked with children and adults
for over 10 years. From 1993-2004 he has worked as a group
leader/site coordinator for Kama’aina Kids. Shane has
also worked with the Department of Education, assisting
the technology department and special education department. |

Since
1990, Deacon Miyashiro has been a member of the Counseling
and Guidance Department and the Middle School Counselor
for Grades 7 and 8. For 16 years in the High School, he
taught such subjects as Mechanical Drawing, Algebra II,
Religion, Introduction to Scientific Methods, Survey of
Physics, Physics and AP Physics. In the Middle School,
he has taught Math 6, Geography 7 and Religion 7 and 8.
As a certified Parent Project facilitator, he has taught
a parenting class at Saint Louis School since February
2002. He has been an ordained Permanent Deacon in the
Catholic Church since 1981. |

Micah recently received his Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University.
Micah is also an alumnus of Washington State University, where he lettered in varsity baseball. He is licensed by the state of Hawaii's, "Hawaii Teachers Standards Board", in school counseling.
Micah has worked in the Hawaii Department of Education as a substitute teacher, and spent the past five years working at a residential treatment facility for 14-18 year old boys. |

Mr.
Rudy Zimbra has been a member of Saint Louis School ’s
Counseling & Guidance Department for 25 years. His
vast experiences include being a Director of Counseling,
Vice Principal, Elementary and Secondary School Teacher
and College Placement Counselor. Mr. Zimbra has taught
an array of subjects including Latin, Religion, English,
Geometry, Mechanical Drawing, Psychology, Anthropology,
History, Integrated Science and Philosophy. |

Ms.
Christy Bryant is the Director of Counseling and Guidance. She joined Saint Louis School in December
2003. She came to us from the Guidance Department at Somersworth
High School in New Hampshire. She began her counseling
career at her alma mater, East Lyme High School in Connecticut,
where she also coached the varsity softball team. Ms.
Bryant will continue her graduate work at Chaminade
University. |

Brother
John comes to us from Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory
in Hollywood , Florida , also a Marianist school, where
he was serving as President and the School Psychologist.
He began teaching Biology, Math and Theology in 1962 and
coached Cross-Country and Track. Over the years, he was
also Counselor, Assistant Principal and L.I.F.E. Moderator
at Chaminade-Madonna. |

Brother
Jim, an alumnus of Saint Louis High School returns to
his alma mater as the College/Scholarship counselor. He
recently finished his term as principal of Archbishop
Riordan High School, San Francisco. Having served in various
administrative positions including director of guidance
in Japan, San Francisco, Washington state and as principal
of Saint Anthony Junior Senior High School, Wailuku, Maui,
Brother has served on various accrediting committees and
school boards including the Diocesan School Board of Honolulu. |
