Where/when is practice held?
Practices are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (Thursdays if there is a tournament coming up) at Room 30 in Bertram Hall.

What is a resolution?
A resolution is a topic that is debated on. Each debater is responsible for researching and preparing both sides (pro and con) of the argument/conflict.

What is the current debate resolution?
Simply click on the link of the debate event you are doing to see resolutions that are currently being debated.

I'm interested in an Interpretation event, but how do I find a piece?
You can use any published literary work; try the school library on the third floor of Bertram Hall, your local public library, or looked through the scripts that past interpreters have used at Saint Louis Schools..

I'm interested in Impromptu Speaking, but how do I prepare?
You don't really prepare for specific impromptu speeches but you can practice speaking about random topics which might come up in an impromptu round.

Who maintains our Extemporaneous Speaking files?
The extemporaneous speaking box is currently maintained by Coach Bobby Tokunaga and any extempers during the season. It must be a collaborative effort in order for every extemper to know what is going into the box.

Do I really get extra-credit for AP U.S. Government, AP U.S. History, or U.S. Government if I join the Speech and Debate team?
No. This policy has been suspended.
