What is PetWalk Paina?
PetWalk Paina is the Hawaiian Humane Society’s annual charity walk. Join thousands of animal lovers and their pets for a leisurely stroll around Ward Village. The celebration will continue with the first-ever PetWalk Paina block party at Kolowalu Park featuring entertainment, contests, retail shops, food and drinks. The paina ends at 9 pm, so bring your pet and enjoy the fun.
When is PetWalk Paina 2018?
PetWalk Paina 2018 will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Registration begins at 4 pm and the walk begins at 5 pm.
Where is PetWalk being held this year?
PetWalk will be held at Kolowalu Park, adjacent to Ward Village’s South Shore Market.
Can we choose our route?
PetWalk features a short course and a long course for pets and people of all sizes. Click here to download a larger map.
Is there a registration fee?
There is no registration fee for PetWalk. As a local nonprofit, we rely on your support. We hope that you’ll collect donations from friends and family for the animals. Donations collected support our more than 30 programs and services, including humane investigations and rescues, lost and found services and outreach programs in the community.
How do I register or create a team?

Can I purchase a T-shirt in advance?
Yes, you can purchase a limited edition PetWalk T-shirt during registration or contact petwalk@hawaiianhumane.org to pick one up at the Hawaiian Humane Society.
What do I do if someone wants to donate cash or check?
Hold on to those donations and turn them in on the day of PetWalk at the registration tent. You can track those donations on our paper registration form. Email petwalk@hawaiianhumane.org for a paper registration.
Are pets other than dogs permitted to participate in the event?
Yes! All animals except farm animals are welcome at PetWalk on leash.
Do I have to bring a pet in order to walk?
No, you can celebrate the human-animal bond with us even if you don’t have a pet yourself.
What is the leash requirement for the event?
All animals at PetWalk must be leashed at all times.
What about parking?
Parking will be available at Ward Village.
What if it rains?
The pets will walk, rain or shine! Check the Hawaiian Humane Society website at any time for the latest updates on PetWalk atHawaiianHumane.org/PetWalk.
Will there be food for purchase?
This year’s PetWalk will feature a variety of delicious food vendors selling ono food and refreshments for purchase. We hope you’ll find something that hits the spot. Click here to see a list of participating vendors.
