The Brother Edward L.K. Gomez, S.M. Faculty Award honors outstanding educators both past and present who demonstrate passion for student learning and commitment to the values and mission of Saint Louis School. The Ka Lamakua Award is presented to an individual who, through his or her own special talents and gifts, has helped perpetuate the legacy of excellence at Saint Louis School. The award is inspired by Chester A. Vause III, Ph.D., Class of 1970, the creator of the Saint Louis School Fighting Crusader.
