Personalized learning at Saint Louis School is predicated on the idea that students can make the most growth in their skills when given the opportunity to work within their respective Zones of Proximal Development (ZPD) with the use of consistent formative testing that only allows the student to move forward once he has mastered a particular skill level.
At Saint Louis School, over 100, 000 dollars per year is invested into Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) mechanisms that provides each student with their respective ZPD level, the content and assessments at each level to provide the quickest and most effective way of building individual skills in students. When students use these tools like MyOn, Achieve 3000, and more for at least two sessions of thirty minutes per week, excellent growth in skills begin to take place - especially when that usage is closely monitored by a professional educator. Consequently, the more these CAI program are used, the greater the rate of growth is in skill development. Below is a chart of the CAI programs offered at Saint Louis School. Keep in mind that each program has been specifically selected per grade level by SLS administrators and teachers based on their knowledge of how the average skills at each grade meets the challenges provided by each respective skill building tool.
