  • Mahalo Dr. Chester Vause, Creator of the Fighting Crusader

Not many people know that SLS graduate Dr. Chester Vause created the Fighting Crusader image as a Freshman at Saint Louis School when he was asked to create a symbol that could be used in the athletic department. Little did he know that his creation would come to symbolize excellence at Saint Louis School in athletics and much more..

Now, as a Crusader graduate of the Class of 1970 and current Physics Professor at the University of Hawaii, Dr. Vause continues to give back to his alma mater. In this picture, he was honored for his kindness in gifting Saint Louis School his creation.

Mahalo Dr. Chester Vause. You truly are a Saint Louis Gentleman.
